A blind date with a book is a carefully chosen fiction title, wrapped so the cover and author remain a surprise. Instead of selecting by popularity or algorithms, your book is matched to you based on mood, tone, and the kind of story you’re hoping to step into.

Our short quiz helps us understand what you’re in the mood for — emotionally, stylistically, and thematically. Your answers guide our selection so your book feels aligned with your season of life, not just your genre preferences.

We primarily source high-quality pre-owned books from trusted sellers and local shops. We also carry a curated selection of titles from newer authors whose work deserves to be discovered. Every book is hand-inspected before being sent.

All books are carefully inspected before shipping and will be in very good to excellent condition. Minor signs of previous reading may be present, but we do not send books with:

Torn or missing pages

Heavy writing or highlighting

Water damage

Odors or structural damage

Stories can carry emotional weight as well as beauty. If there are themes or topics you need to avoid, you may share this in your quiz responses or at checkout.

Because blind-date books are intentionally a surprise and curated specifically for each reader, we do not offer traditional returns.

However, your experience matters to us. If your book truly missed the mark, please reach out within 7 days of delivery and we will gladly offer:

Store credit, or

A replacement match (when possible)

All orders are prepared by hand with care. Please allow 3–5 business days for processing before your order ships.

Once your package is on its way, delivery time will vary based on your location and the carrier. Tracking information will be sent to the email address provided at checkout.
